Some Masajid/Mosques of Malaysia

Salaam! Long time! (Yes, I say that on every blog post nowadays it seems).  I thought I'd share some of the Masajid I've been to in Malaysia.  Malaysia really does have some stunning Masajid.  Below are a few of these.  Have you visited any? What's your fav?

Masjid Wilayah

Masjid Wilayah is one of the many architecturally stunning masajid in Malaysia. It was opened in 2000 and you can see similarities in its design and Ottoman architecture.  It is located in Kuala Lumpur not too far from MATRADE complex.

Pink Mosque / Masjid Putra

You can’t miss this masjid if you ever visit Putrajaya.  One of the two Masajid which stand out in Putrajaya, the pink mosque is located next to the Putrajaya Lake.  It looks stunning inside and out.  What’s more, from the Masjid, not only do you get a good view of Putrajaya, but, you can also take the lake cruise.

Steel Masjid  /  Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque

Not a lot to say about this Masjid other than: truly stunning.  Really is a piece of art.  Day or night, it looks amazing masha’Allah.  It’s beautiful on the outside and beautiful on the inside.

Masjid Ara Damansara

I discovered this Masjid on my recent trip to Malaysia.  It is said that this Masjid generates most, if not all, of its energy needs via Solar.
