You know how you meet those people who are instantly loved by others? You know the type who people talk good about even when they're not there? The ones who people genuinely praise when somebody mentions them? The ones who people make dua for, weep for and carry on the good work on their behalf if they leave this world? Wouldn't you love to be one of them? So, how DO you get people to love you this much? The answer is rather simple really, get Allah (swt) to love you and the people will automatically follow:
Allāh’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: "when Allāh loves some person, He sends for Jibrīl and commands him: verily, I love such and such person; you should also love him, so Jibrīl loves him as well. Then Jibrīl proclaims in the heavens that Allāh loves such and such person; you should also love him. Then the residents of the heavens love him as well. Then his love is sent down to the earth (the world)." - Narrated by Abū Hurayrah (RA). Bukhari & Muslim
