On our way from Jazan to Jabl Saudah, we decided to stop over at Wadi Beesh. Again, we weren’t too optimistic about seeing something scenic due to the lack of rain but once again we were pleasantly surprised. Wadi Beesh was lush green and had a large stream of water running. The place was serene and there were a number of people just walking through the stream or sitting on the side relaxing.
Accessing it isn’t too difficult. As you come off the main road, there’s a small off-road track down towards the stream. Again, a 4x4 is recommended but not necessary as I saw a small Accent driving through the stream. Not that I’m recommending you do that though…
I would recommend you park your car up and go for a little stroll along the stream of water. Even dip your feet in the water. There are small tadpoles inside the water but I didn’t spot any large fish or other creatures.
Overall, a nice little stopover if you like greenery and water.
